The Cause for Klaus organization was originally formed as a way to help Mark Klausmeyer during his fight against Fibrosarcoma cancer. The proceeds raised from these benefits helped him and his family ease the financial burden during this difficult time. After enduring nearly two years of pain and suffering, Mark lost his battle with cancer on April 29, 2014. The Cause for Klaus benefits produced such an overwhelming turnout of love and support for Mark that he asked his brother Chris and Mark's wife Dawn to continue the annual event in order to help other local families who have a loved one fighting cancer.

Throughout the years, these benefits held in honor of Mark Klausmeyer have helped other local families and their loved ones during their fight against cancer. Our goal is to carry on this benefit in his honor and to help those financially struggling from this deadly disease for many years to come.
